 Mums and Tots in Henley
The Mothers' Union (MU) is a Christian organisation with more than 3.6 million members worldwide. The backbone of the MU is our worldwide network of volunteers. Whatever their individual backgrounds, our members are joined together by a commitment to marriage and family. Volunteers give their time to generously help others, whether by running local projects, supporting international campaigns, or fundraising to sustain family life through our projects at home and abroad.
In the Oxford diocese the work is carried out through various diocesan projects, both large and small, that are aimed at supporting families in both good and bad times. Deaneries and branches run their own local projects too.
All the work of the MU is underpinned by prayer. The spiritual side of members' lives is enhanced by an annual diocesan Retreat and Quiet Days are held at deanery and branch level.
Branches are able to use material produced by the central MU as an outreach to both their churches and communities.
Oxford Diocese is linked with the Mothers' Union in dioceses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and in Nigeria.
